Awaiting Orthopaedic Surgery
Rehabilitating an area prior to surgery (i.e. “pre-habiltation”) can improve your outcome after surgery and in some cases can delay surgery for longer or avoid the need for surgery.
Post Orthopaedic Surgery
If you have had surgery a specific rehabilitation program allows the benefits of surgery to be maximised and last longer. Appropriate rehabilitation can improve strength and function which allows you to return high levels of activity
Active older patient with joint or muscular pain
Various changes occur in the body as we get older, this can lead to sore joints and muscles which can affect your ability to do everyday activities
Adolescent with joint or muscular pain
As you grow you can experience a range of symptoms as your bones grow. This can lead to muscle soreness and if not treated muscle imbalance.

Isokinetic Muscle Assessment and Reassessment
Our Isokinetics machine provides an objective measure of muscle strength. Having the appropriate strength, power and endurance of the muscles around a joint is an important factor in decreasing symptoms and increasing function. Isokinetic muscle assessment identifies and quantifies any deficits in muscle function. Subsequent training (either on the Cybex or using gym equipment) aims to correct these deficits and therefore improve function.
