Move2Learn Physiotherapy services

Move2Learn is a service provided in association with Vale Healthcare, and offers physiotherapy for babies, children and young people who may need assessment and treatment regarding physical or movement difficulties and the effects these may have on daily activities.

Training and advice is given, enabling parents to support their child. The service also aims to improve and promote children’s health and development through individual programmes or activity groups.

Locations

The Move2Learn physiotherapy service covers a wide range of conditions such as Dyspraxia, (Development Co-ordination Disorder), developmental delay, Orthopaedic (bones, joints and muscles) and developmental disorders.

Assessment and treatments can be carried out at Vale Healthcare's Cardiff Bay Clinic and the Vale Clinic, Hensol (in the Vale of Glamorgan), or at the child’s home, nursery or school. Although based in Cardiff, the physiotherapist can travel to see children anywhere. (Travel and accommodation costs may apply outside Cardiff).

Working Together

Many conditions can be treated by the Physiotherapist alone but working in association with Vale Healthcare means that any additional referral for specialist services can be easily accessed (e.g. Paediatric and Orthopaedic Consultants, MRI scans or x-rays).
